Mary "Angie" Ogburn Obituary
Mary “Angie” Ogburn of Norman, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on July 22, 2024, at the age of 72. Born Mary Angeline Peterman on September 22, 1951, she was the daughter of Richard Henry Peterman and Lula Belle (Gilmore) Peterman, both of whom have preceded her in death, along with her husband, Will Ogburn, who preceded her death in 2018. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Melissa Ogburn, and two brothers, Frank Peterman, and Danny Peterman.
Angie leaves her children to cherish her memory – Wendi Farrell and husband Chris, and David Ogburn; grandchildren Tristan Farrell and wife Sami, and Nash Farrell; along with her brother, Pete Peterman and wife Ranell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
From the time she was a very young woman, Angie had a green thumb and loved tending to her many plants. She also loved cooking and perfected many recipes over the years. Perhaps her most important virtue was her faith. Angie was a dedicated and active member of the congregation at Northeast Baptist Church and cherished the many friendships she made and fostered through the church.
Yet, of all the passions she explored and the many things that made her happy, nothing brought Angie more joy than quality time spent with her beloved family. This extended to her canine family as well – dogs Jagger, and Bella, both of whom she loved to spoil. Angie especially loved playing with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
As we reflect upon her life, let us remember all the good times we shared with Angie. Her love made an everlasting imprint on her family’s hearts, and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
