Carolyn Evans

Carolyn S. Scott Evans passed away on August 21, 2017 at the age of 84. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25 at Ariel Chapel, 904 W. Main, in Norman, OK. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on April 23, 1933, the third child of Herman and Loretta Scott. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Joycelyn Little and Marilyn Hearon; and her son Michael Evans. Carolyn is survived by her son, Bryan Evans wife Becky; daughter, Sherry Trammell and husband Roger; and daughter-in-law Pam Evans; grandchildren, Sarah Short and husband Chris, Carter and Taylor Evans, Joshua and Josie Trammell, Kaylen and Libby Evans, and Laban Evans & wife Heather; great-grandchildren Audrey and Ryder Short. Carolyn graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1965 and went on to receive her Master of Business Education in 1977. She taught at Norman High for many years, taught for the civil service in Puerto Rico and then went on to teach data processing at Mid-America Technology until she retired. After retirement she helped her sons Bryan and Michael in their respective businesses. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, dominoes and her cat Max. Carolyn's faith in the Lord Jesus was her foundation. She attended Ariel Chapel until her death. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family, but has left nothing but wonderful memories for her family. Funeral Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 120 S. Broadway, Moore, OK.
