Services for Mary S. Langford, 56, Norman are pending with
Havenbrook Funeral Home. She died today July 15, at Norman
Regional Hospital.

Mary Sue Langford, 56, of Norman died Tuesday, July 15, 1997,
in Norman.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday July 18, at Havenbrook
Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Miller officiating. Arrangements are
under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home in Norman.
She was born May 26, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas to Robert Guy
and Dovie Klemme Langford. She graduated from high school at
Weatherford, Okla., in 1959. In 1962, she graduated from Southwestern
State College with a degree in English education. From 1962-1966, she
taught English in Fullerton, Calif., then in Grand Prairie, Texas, from
1966-1967. In 1967 she came to Norman and taught English at Norman
High School until her retirement.
A member of the Oklahoma Education Association, she was an avid
reader, enjoyed writing and her teaching career. She will be remember
for her sense of humor and compassion and she touched the lives of
many students.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard C.
Langford.
She is survived by her companion and friend, Marvin Ansel Young;
an uncle, Ben Klemme of Oklahoma City; two aunts, Ruth Williamson
of Weatherford and Naomi Austin of Anderson, Ind., and many other
relatives and friends.
