June 12, 1951 - Sept. 30, 2012 CHOCTAWGlynda passed quietly away from complications of a sudden illness surrounded by her family. Glynda was born in Miami, OK on June 12, 1951, to the late Fay Coleman and Eva LaVelle Mast. Glynda began teaching in 1970 and retired in 1998. She was a 1969 graduate of Norman High School. She received a B.S. Degree from Oklahoma University and a Master Degree from Central State University. Her teaching duties included students with learning disabilities and mentally handicapped. She was a past member of the Council for Exceptional Children and CEC, Division of Mental Retardation.Glynda was always a high energy person who loved the outdoors, gardening and especially raising her pets. She loved cooking and her homemade peanut brittle, fudge and chocolate cakes were the best. In retirement, she enjoyed going to estate and garage sales. She was a loving wife to her husband Jack.She is survived by her husband Jack Edward Julian, brothers Zill Coleman and Jim Coleman, three nephews Paul Coleman, Kelly Coleman and Adam Coleman and a host of friends. No services are planned at this time. |
