Barbara Gilpin was born to Ray and Levola (Hale) Autry on May 25, 1951, in Norman. She departed this life Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, in Oklahoma City at the age of 64 years. Barbara was a lifetime resident of Cleveland County and a graduate of Norman High School. She and James Gilpin were united in marriage and made their home in Norman. She was employed with the Norman Sears and Roebuck Store for many years before her retirement. Barbara loved each moment she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, baking, gardening and raising chickens and ducks with her three loyal dogs by her side. Barbara loved each moment she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Those who survive her include her mother, Levola Autry of Norman; her husband, James of the home; son, Eric (Leigh) Nunn of Noble; daughter, Brandi (Kirk) Weese of Choctaw; brother, Ernie Autry of Norman; sister, Debbie Autry of Lexington; and seven grandchildren, Justice Weese, Michael Nunn, Presley Weese, Cambrye Weese, Trenton Smith, Presley Smith and Kodie Weese. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be at Noble IOOF Cemetery. Arranged and directed by McMahans Funeral Home in Noble.
