Services for Alton Clifton, 68, 105 S. Sherry, will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday in the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the
IOOF Cemetary with Mayes Funeral Directors in charge of
arrangements.
He died Tuesday in Presbyterian Hospital, Oklahoma City.
Clifton was born July 22, 1914 in Davis and graduated from Davis
High School n 1932. He received a B.S. degree and a master's
degree in education from the University of Oklahoma. He was a
retired teacher from Jackson Middle School in Oklahoma City.
He was a member of the Oklahoma Mineral and Gem Society of
Oklahoma City and the Norman First Presbyterian Church. He also
was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Nola of the home and a stepson, Jim
Buff of St. Louis, Mo.
Bearers will be Woody Lawter, Oscar Carroll, Clair Anderson,
Wayne Rose, George Fraser and Duane Andruss.
The family has designated the First Presbyterian Church or the
Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for research in cancer
as appropriate for memorial contributions.
